Enhancing Students’ Critical Thinking & Innovation Skills

This course consists of six sessions and is designed to equip teachers with the knowledge, strategies, and practical techniques needed to foster critical thinking, innovation, and design thinking in their students. It covers a range of topics including understanding critical thinking, promoting problem-solving skills, enhancing teacher innovation, and integrating Design Thinking into classroom instruction. Each session includes active learning tasks and evaluation tools to assess participants’ understanding, providing opportunities for reflection and continuous improvement. Teachers will gain valuable insights and practical approaches to enhance critical thinking and innovation in their classrooms, empowering their students to become effective problem solvers and creative thinkers. After completing this course, participants should be able to:

• Demonstrate understanding and how to develop critical thinking skills in the classrooms.
• Promote problem-solving skills in the classrooms
• Develop and foster Innovation skills in the classrooms.
• Apply design thinking skills in lessons.
• Integrate and implement instructional practices that support innovation in UAE classrooms.
• Evaluate the course’s effectiveness while providing suggestions for improvement.
