This course is designed to familiarize teachers in private schools with the UAE School Inspection Framework and its vision to achieve the world-class education systems to which it aspires. It is upon this background that the UAE applies a high-quality evaluation system to reliably measure the quality of school performance and to support school improvements and students’ outcomes, through rigorous and regular School Inspections. The UAE School Inspection Framework is therefore based on comprehensive performance standards that define the essential aspects of quality education. Each standard is broken down into specific indicators and elements, and detailed descriptors and illustrations which guide inspection judgement and school improvement. Participants will engage in task based activities which will provide them with in depth understanding of each performance standard broken down into specific indicators and elements, and detailed descriptors.
After completing this course, participants should be able to:
- Demonstrate understanding the purpose of the UAE School Inspection Framework.
- Identify and define/explain all performance standards, citing their indicators and elements.
- Create activities and tasks that reflect qualities of a high rating in each performance standard (GOOD to OUTSTANDING).
- Identify and discuss the roles and responsibilities of each stakeholder.
